One of the dresses I like the most on my daughter Amareah is a color-block bottomed number from Biscotti of Biscotti and Kate Mack. This 1969 mod dress is a hip style in color-blocked ponte knit that marries bold patters of black and with with bright colors that a lot of tweens love. It’s one of those garments that fits so perfectly it appears to be made to the wearer’s specifications. And, best of all, it can take your daughter from season to season by adding classic accessories.
Biscotti introduced this style, particularly for tweens, for her Spring line. What makes it a great choice for this age group is that it’s fun and trendy as well as comfortable and modest.

Tagged Tuesdays originated at Anni’s Bubble and is is a fun, engaging post for bloggers to connect, share and reinvent themselves. Each week bloggers will be given a specific topic to write about and we encourage readers to visit the blogs, comment and share. This week I decided to participate.
When Anni told me what the topic is this week I must admit I made the totally clueless face. What in the world do I have to say about not wanting to be a kid in 2014?

Having three children still at home often requires a bit of creativity when it comes to planning outings, shopping trips and, especially, birthday parties. For each child’s birthday a theme is either chosen or requested, and this year it took a little bit of both before a decision was made. Between the two of us, Anna and I chose a cowgirl theme for her 7th birthday party.
Of course if you’re going to have the theme you have to dress the part, and the children were more than thrilled to do so. That excitement reached a new peak when they saw the party location: Big Boot Ranch in Ellenwood, Georgia, which is 30 to 45 minutes south of Atlanta.
