IUDs may cause severe side effects

The use of IUD as a form of birth control has risen over the past few years and, for some, it isn’t surprising that women are experiencing side effects. Those side effects have led to a mirena recall.

Mirena IUD, a long-term birth control, is used by more than 2 million women in the United States each year as well as 15 million worldwide. It’s too bad experts have found that their could be severe mirena side effects.

As a Mirena user this can be very concerning especially since I’ve dealt with uterine wall perforation in the past. The FDA reports that more than 45,000 women have experience these side effects and others. If you also use Mirena, be sure to do your research and have routine appointments.
