Happy New Year!
Although I’m anxious to begin my blogging and writing for the new year my year really doesn’t begin until the children go back to school, which will be on Tuesday. Then my vacation schedule will be over and it’ll be back to business.
Instead of rushing through a New Year commitments post, I wanted to share with you one of the best things that has happened so far. My sweet little granddaughter has discovered how to make different sounds with her little mouth and voice. The funniest one thus far is when she growls. Yup, you read that correctly: She growls.
It’s a combination of fussing and gurgling deep in her throat, and the longer you take performing whatever task or action she wants the louder she gets. “Ggggrrrruuuuu!” It’s hilarious. Her mommy, my sweet daughter Amber, has taken to growling back at her. It is definitely a funny sight to behold and hear.
There ya have it, my 3 1/2-month-old grandbaby growls. How’s that for a wonderful New Year milestone to celebrate?
How have the first four days of the New Year been to you?
