‘What matters most to me’

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month and The Life Foundation, a nonprofit organized dedicated to helping individuals make smart insurance decisions, has created a Facebook application, a contest and a meaningful campaign.

image The LIFE Foundation understands that parents want to protect the ones that are most important in their lives and provide for them in the event that something were to happen to them. We may not want to think about it, but it’s a reality we have to face and once we deal with it and make plans, it will give us peace of mind.

That’s why they’re having a contest that involves the new “What Matters Most to Me” application, which gives us the chance to share some photos and memories with family and friends. It only takes a few minutes (I did it myself and was surprised at how quick, easy and fun it was to do) because the app helps you to easily create a multimedia show including pictures, captions and music. When you create and post your slideshow on Facebook between now and September 30 you’re eligible to win a trip to Aruba, for yourself and a guest, where you’ll spend five days at the Radisson Resort, Casino & Spa.

Check out the “What Matters Most to Me” application and create your own slideshow to not only share with friends and family, but also to be entered to win the trip to Aruba. And don’t forget to share it with your friends because every friend on Facebook who indicates they “like” your slideshow $1 will be donated to the Comfort Zone Camp, which is a bereavement camp for children who have lost a parent, sibling or primary caregiver.

While you’re on Facebook, check out my slideshow… I am really pleased with how it turned out. Spread the word and have a great Life Insurance Awareness Month.

Disclosure: By writing this post I have entered for a chance to win a gift card from The LIFE Foundation, but that in no way influenced my opinions – those are my own. No monetary exchange took place. More information can be found in my complete disclosure policy.
