Although I’ve heard of ArticleAlley I don’t recall ever using it or looking at it until today. If you’re unfamiliar with the site, it allows authors to post their work for free and promote “the spread of information and knowledge around the Internet” and others, including bloggers, can use the article on their own site.
The topic to search today was million bucks articles. One of the things I really dislike about search engines is how they randomly choose phrases from an article on the Internet and associate it with certain words and it has nothing to do with what I’m searching for.
For instance, if I wanted to find out how I can make a million bucks and searched million bucks articles on ArticleAlley.com, it would come up with an article that joked about the potential (or not) of an average person to make a million in the PGA tour. Each article, in fact, that was listed I could not determine what it had to do with a million bucks by simply reading the title and the excerpt.
I won’t make a harsh judgment on a site I’m hardly familiar with, but upon initial inspection it isn’t one I would necessarily return to.
