Give a gift card

Every year for as long as I can remember I have packed my oldest daughter's stocking with a variety of small gifts. Watches, gum, candy, chapstick, lipgloss, fingernail polish and files... As she got older I gave her travel toilet paper and paper towel rolls, hand sanitizer and any little travel-sized item I could find. Yes, believe it or not, she uses every one. She used to tell me how nasty the girls bathroom is in high school and that they sometimes don't have toilet tissue, hence the gift of a travel-sized toilet paper.

Now that's she's gone away to college I was thinking I would get her the "normal" stocking stuffers, but will mix it up a little this year. She'll probably get more than one Gift Cards so she can purchase exactly what she needs for her dorm room and herself.

Gift Cards - there are quite a few sold at - are the perfect gift. They're easy to purchase on because you can search the category from which you want to purchase. Make giving a little easier - and brighter - by giving gift cards.

  1. I love gift cards! Receiving them and giving them. Sometimes I worry other people will think I'm taking the easy way out, but that way they get to pick what that want and I don't have to worry I got "the wrong thing" (as long as I know it's a place they will like). When I receive them, it's an excuse to buy something (or go to a restaurant) and not have to spend money. :)

By the way, thank you for your comment on my post the other day - I'm glad I'm not the only one who needs a break sometimes!

  2. The great thing about gift cards is that you can use them to take advantage of all the amazing after the holiday clearance sales!

  3. I plan to give more than a few gift cards this holiday season. It cuts the chase. lol.

What's up men & women of my world! I am all a-giggle that you decided to comment. You're what make this world go 'round... ya know? This "world." I love you! Smooches. :-)
