Childseat Safety Campaign

As a parent, I am always concerned about the safety of my children. One of the concerns I have is whether they're carseats and booster seats are installed correctly. The seats often have to be moved from one vehicle or another and in my old van there aren't those new latching hooks to keep the seat anchored. They never seem tight enough to me.

That's why I think the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Child Passenger Safety Week is important because it brings awareness to the issue of ensuring each child's seat is installed correctly to maximize on safety. Did you know that 3 out of 4 carseats are not installed as they should be, which puts children at risk? That number is very high.

Learn more about Child Passenger Safety and find out where a inspection center is located near you. All you have to do is enter your zip code or state and you'll get a list of centers or you can narrow the list to those that are holding inspections during this week.

Amy Lupold Bair, founder of Momfluence, is acting on behalf of NHTSA's child passenger safety efforts.

  1. The inspections are so great! I live in Canada and I know lots and lots of moms who bring their cars in and can't believe how wrong they had their car seats installed! I'm with you completely on this one!

What's up men & women of my world! I am all a-giggle that you decided to comment. You're what make this world go 'round... ya know? This "world." I love you! Smooches. :-)
