Scholarship for mobility challenged students

Getting Amber into college and working on ensuring she has everything financed is a job in and of itself. There are so many scholarships and grants available that it's a little overwhelming. That's why when I find out information about a scholarship that I think can benefit someone else then I normally try to share it with them. And people share information with me as well.

I recently became aware of a merit-based scholarship, AmeriGlide Achiever Scholarship, that is offered to full-time students who use a wheelchair. The deadline to apply for the scholarship for the Fall semester is July 31st so if you know someone who may qualify then let them know.

Recipients should meet these qualifications:

-Must be enrolled at an accredited two or four year college
-Must use a manual or electric wheelchair
-Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
-Must complete application and submit response to essay question by the deadline
-Must be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa

AmeriGlide is a company that provides stair lifts and other equipment, and they're a company that gives back. Their goal is to offer financial assistance for books or other school related supplies to deserving mobility challenged students.
