My inspiration is simple and short this week, and I think I have written about it before. I was inspired by Mother's Day to take care of myself. My teenager cared for the younger kids while I relaxed. I went out to the kitchen in the morning for breakfast and she said, "You're supposed to have breakfast in bed." So, without argument, I returned to my bed with a few magazines.
I ate eggs, pancakes and watermelon and had a cup of coffee. Then I reclined and read magazines. I turned from side to side, rolled over, propped myself and kept on reading. After a little while I sat on the couch with my feet propped up and watched television. Then I went back to lay on the bed again... LOL. I napped and later took a shower using every moisturizer, cleanser, exfoliater, buffer and so forth. I painted my nails...
Today, I told someone that I relaxed so much my bottom hurt! :) Now the downside of all of that is I'm a little sluggish today and, amazingly, sleepy... But the lesson is a day of rest and relaxation is exactly what every mother should experience and not just once a year on Mother's Day.
Remember to take care of yourself and schedule relaxation. You'll be surprised how it'll fuel your muse.
