Blogger's spell check button

Is anyone having trouble getting to spell check posts? For the past couple of days the function has not worked for me. I don't know what's up, but it's really annoying.

If you've seen any misspellings in my post, please forgive me! I've been in too much of a rush to copy and paste into Word and I've tried to catch all the errors I can. - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more
Happy Friday!

Another pound

My health and weight loss journal - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more I'm proud to say I've lost another pound... the weight is creeping off, but at least it's not creeping on. Now if I could just find the time and energy to exercise more.

Speaking of energy, I'm back on my medicine and feeling some better. Not 100 percent, but waaaaaay better than without. Now if I could just figure out why the baby has started getting up in the middle of the night. Not only is she waking me up, but last night when I put her in my bed she tossed and turned the rest of the night.

She kicked me. She rolled into my space. She swatted me. Then after hours of the abuse, I finally got up and looked back at the bed. She settled in and slept soundly for another hour or so.

What nerve, I thought. She was irritated because I was in my own bed!

Oh well... wish me luck tonight.

Good deals at Wal-Mart

I couldn't resist sharing with you a couple of excellent deals I found at Wal-Mart today. The trip to Wal-Mart was fueled by the need to find a birthday present for 1-year-old twins who go to the same daycare as my children. I talked to their mom last week and she said that if I got the twins something then just get them one thing.

Well, I had a couple of ideas, but I didn't look forward to the shopping trip. I don't really like shopping, but I do like finding deals and that makes shopping fun for me. Luckily the teenager was with me and -- long story short -- she happened upon a KidConnection ride-on toy for ages 1-3.

Perfect! I thought. And... the best part was the price: more than 1/2 off. Only $7. And it even plays two nursery rhymes and lights up.

The second deal we found is a Dora the Explorer 3 Drawer Storage Box. This little box will be perfect for putting my 3-year-old's hairbows, barretts and jewelry. It was only $5 -- marked down from $14.88.

Looking forward to...

...getting a break!

All of a sudden I have a burst of energy. Why? You ask. Well, I'll be happy to tell you. A very good friend of mine has been working on a treat for me: A trip to Miami.

I am being treated to a trip to Miami! By myself!

I'm sure all you mommies understand my excitement. I spend a lot of time with my children, but I haven't been away from the baby for more than a couple of hours. She's normally with me 24/7. So the three youngest children will be with their father and the oldest will spend the time with her best friend.

I know I may worry a little bit -- especially about the baby -- but the perservation of my sanity makes this trip an absolute necessity.

Rejoice with me. Dance with me. Sing with me... oh wait, I think I hear the baby up from her nap. I'll just dance down the hall to get her. LOL!

Just a little fun

Get a quote for your next car

It's always a good idea to do some research before you make a purchase. And the purchase of a vehicle is the perfect time to do some research to make sure you get a good deal. Although I don't plan on buying a new vehicle anytime soon; I am interested in knowing Car Prices.

One day I'd like to get a new Dodge Caravan or a Nissan Quest and I'll be prepared because I did a little research to determine who has the best prices. It's easy and doesn't take much time. Make sure you get a quote before you venture out to purchase your next car.

Tammy, one of the sweetiest bloggers ever, gave me this award... it is absolutely the cutest!

I'm gonna pass this onto Syari, Carrie and Farah.

What I'm reading...

I always tell myself that I'm only going to read one book at a time, but it never fails that I start one book (maybe a self-help book) then pick up a novel then a non-fiction read... and before I know it I have a stack of books that I'm in the middle of reading.

Today, I noticed a stack next to my desk and I'm trying to figure out where to put them. The ones I've already started reading are Get Hired Now! by C.J. Hayden and Frank Traditi, Yoga for Weight-Loss by Celia Hawe, Build the Life You Want and Still Have Time to Enjoy It! by Jim Claitor and Collee Contreras and The Mom Inventors Handbook by Tamara Monosoff.

I also noticed the books sitting behind my laptop and a few of them have bookmarks in them. There's Getting Your Book Published for Dummies, Skywriter by Jane Pauley, God's Plans for Your Finances by Dwight Nicols, I Feel Bad About My Neck by Nora Ephron... I think that's it.

There are three books I've committed to reviewing and I have to start reading them soon: Something on the Side by Carl Weber; Full-Time Woman, Part-Time Career by Karen Steede Terry and All About Love by Susan L. Taylor. I think I'm going to hurry and start Taylor's book since this is the month of love.

I'm not even going to tell you about all the magazines I'm in the middle of reading. Of course you know I'm reading the March issue of O.

Well, there you have it... that's what I'm reading. What's on your list?

What's the deal?

I don't know what the problem is, but I haven't had any decent paid posts in a long time. Everytime I sign into PPP there are no available opportunities for me and then I sign into Smorty and encounter the same problem.

Poppin' pills

My health and weight loss journal

I ran out of some of the medicine for my fibromyalgia and it wasn't pretty. It started with a medical insurance mix up and then I kept forgetting to go to the pharmacy. But I couldn't stand it any longer over the weekend: the exhaustion, the pain... I can't believe I used to feel like that on a regular basis.

You know, I'm not one who likes to take so much medicine all the time, but I'm gonna keep taking this stuff until I discover something more natural. Feeling like crap everyday and trying to take care of four children does not mix.

Thank God for drugs! :)
