There are so many companies supporting breast cancer research and the fight against breast cancer that we sometimes forget that we -- as individuals -- can do our part. I know I often get overwhelmed with thinking that I have to do something big to support the fight, but I am coming to realize that it's the small gestures that also make a difference.
A couple of years ago, I bought two pink ribbon pins for my teenage daughter and myself to show our support for breast cancer research. About a year ago my daughter bought a "pink ribbon" t-shirt, which I have since adopted, to show our support to others. And about two weeks ago I bought a simple 2008 bracelet (it was only $2) from Payless shoesource to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. The bracelet purchase means I am "taking steps to fight breast cancer™."
Don't think that the fight is too big for you to participate in because there are many things you can do. If purchasing "pink" items isn't your thing then see if your community is sponsoring a walk, visit some of the many sites that offer information and ways to help or simply help spread the word about being proactive about breast health among your female friends, relatives, colleagues and associates.
One in eight women will get breast cancer in her lifetime (read more facts here) and in order to beat this with have to do something... something for ourselves and all of our sisters.

3 remarks!:
It is good to support those things we feel strongly in. I'd encourge everyone to find something they feel strong about and support a little or alot. We all need to make the world better than we found it.
Cute bracelet!!!
