In the big leagues now

My youngest baby is growing and developing by leaps and bounds. She went from barely toddling around to trying to run; she went from only using her fingers to feed herself to attempting to maneuver a spoon and she follows directions like putting her diaper in the garbage can.

And now she's graduated from her high chair to the big kids' table. And she's loving it. I actually can't take the credit for this one because she sits at a big kid table at the daycare provider's house.

When I asked Kellie where Anna was sitting to eat and she told me. I said, "Oh, I'll have to bring the two-seater table back that you gave me and get another one." So she was kind enough to let me swap the square table with two seats for the kid's picnic-like table.

Isn't she cute sitting there like a big girl?

cute! she's growing so fast!

here's some information:

Toddlers 1 to 2 years old

Your toddler is getting more adventurous and curious about trying new foods. Allergy-producing foods are still a concern, but you also have to be careful about foods that can be a choking hazard.

The following foods are inappropriate for toddlers who are 1 to 2 years old:

Carrots - Because they can easily choke a toddler, carrots should never be eaten raw. They must be shredded or well cooked and very soft.

Grapes - Whole grapes are a choking hazard for small children and should always be cut into small pieces before being offered.

Hot dogs - Slicing hot dog lengthwise and then cutting it into pieces that are about a quarter-inch wide greatly reduces the risk of choking.

Low-fat milk - The fat in whole milk is nutritionally important for young children up to 2 years of age, so low-fat milk should not be used for children in this age range.

Peanuts and peanut butter - In addition to being highly allergenic, peanuts also present a choking risk for toddlers. Don't feed young children peanuts or peanut butter until the child is 3 years old.

Snacks - Since hard candy, lollipops, nuts, popcorn or other snacks are just the right size to become lodged in a small child's throat, great care must be used when offering them to toddlers. These snack foods are a choking risk.

String cheese - For your toddler to safely eat string cheese, serve it shredded and never sliced or cut into chunks.

Oh, absolutely cute! Little Anna is a big girl now. Yes, Daryn graduated from her high chair a few months back too- she hated it since her legs always get stuck in there. LOL

They are both growing up fast dont you think? I could ask Daryn to do work for me too, just like little Anna- she can throw her dirty diapers in the bin, close the door, pick up toys and keep them in the toy box- and can also go and take her pacifier by herself.

Is Anna talking a lot? Daryn talks, but all baby talk, hard to understand her sometimes. She doesn't say the words clear enough.
