A little less of me

My health & weight loss journal

Yippee! I'm down another two pounds, which (as you can see from my weight loss ticker above) makes me 175. I'm semi-excited about the weight loss. Don't get me wrong; I love the way my body is changing, the way my clothes are fitting and the changes I see in the mirror. What I don't love is the fact that the majority of this is due to stress HOWEVER I can't discount the extreme calorie counting I do.

So, when things ease up a bit for me I'll be working out really hard to maintain it. Well, keep your fingers crossed, my plan is to work out really hard... maybe I'll need you to keep me motivated.

It's been a little while since I've given you an update on the health front. Things in that area are okay. The fibromyalgia is, of course, making me a little sore but I am maintaining pretty well and have not had any really bad days since the day I was on my feet all day substitute teaching.

My main complaint now is the neck pain, which is suspected to be rheumatoid arthritis. The meds help with that a little and as long as I keep stretching and trying to keep the tension at bay then it's much better.

All in all (besides anxiety and stress) I'm doing well. Thanks for asking! :-)

  1. Oh jeez...I didn't know you have fibro (I don't think I've been reading long enough to know!) I have a good friend who suffers from it and so you've got my sympathy on that front. I'm glad you haven't been having any really bad days from it though.

    Congrats on the loss! I understand exactly what you mean about the stress loss. But really, if you're losing and you're not suffering nutritionally from it, then take those pounds while you can and work on the fitness part when you get the chance! (Just my opinion of course lol)

  2. well, it doesn't matter! If you are loosing weight- that's going to cover up all the stress in the world you have- what's more than looking great in the mirror!!! LOL

    Petula, if it takes stress to make me loose the weight off, then, give me some stress!!! hahahahhahaha

    My mom has fibromyalgia, and it's horrible for her daily. I'm glad you've found a way to cope.
