Heart-shaped pancakes

My adorable and thoughtful teenager made me heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast today. She also had the two middle children draw pictures for me. It was so cute hearing them explain their pictures. My 4-year-old had an entire theme for his picture: Apparently I'm standing near a tree and trying to catch a butterfly. He pointed the tree out to me (it had a red trunk and purple leaves) and I think the butterfly is a blue scribble. LOL! It's wonderful nonetheless and I'm gonna write the days on them to keep. Amber is so sweet to have made the pancakes and orchestrated the artwork; I really appreciate her making an effort to do something for me today.

Happy Mother's Day!
