Not good at studying

As you know my teenager had been sick for months and she missed about three months of school. Even once she went back (about a month or so ago) she was going half days. So, over the past two weeks I've been trying to help her catch up with everything so she doesn't have to spend the holiday break doing homework, projects, papers, tests, etc.

I figured since she's had such a hard time medically and she (an honor and AP student) is so behind that she needed the break/rest and would go back to full-time school at the first of the year somewhat refreshed. Well, what I didn't factor in was the extra stuff that would be on my to-do list.

No problem, I thought. I can do this!

So last night I'm trying to help her study for the science final. She had a study guide so all I had to do was read the questions and the multiple choice answers and wait for her to answer. During the process, I started to get soooo sleepy. I tried to focus on other things and not think about how extra tired I was, but I guess it didn't work.

After more than four pages of handwritten notes, I heard my daughter say something.

"What did you say... I fell asleep!" I know it was mere minutes -- maybe seconds -- from the time I stopped talking and the time she answered, but I couldn't help myself. I don't know if it's old age or what, but I've been falling asleep in the weirdest positions lately. This time I was sitting in my chair, leaning over the desk with my head parallel (is that right?) to the paper. And I was out.

Snap! Just like that!

If she hadn't of said anything I probably would have slept for quite some time...
