I'm hungry!

My weight loss journal - Day 3

I was supposed to start my healthy eating plan in a couple of weeks when it's time for the big grocery day. You know the one where you purchase everything you've run out of and restock the freezer! But, when the doctor told me that my cholesterol is a little high I decided to start early.

Why in the world did I do that?

It's almost like there's nothing in the house I can eat and if I can eat it, I don't want it. I can't figure out why I'm so hungry. I'm eating full modest meals and trying to eat six small frequent ones, but I'm still hungry. I don't know if it's because I still nurse the baby two to three times a night. (Breastfeeding mothers are normally advised not to cut calories while nursing, but I figured since I only breastfeed a couple of times a night it wouldn't make difference.)

I don't know if it's all in my head... Basically, I don't know anything. What I do know is I hope my weight -- and my cholesterol -- have lowered by the time I go back for my appointment at the end of this month.

On the exercise end of things: I didn't do well yesterday with the dance routine. I've had a headache that's been trying to brew into a migraine for the past three days and all the dancing just made it worse. And, I'm sad to report, I haven't done anything today, but carry the baby back and forth to the card as I unloaded some bags.

Oh well, tomorrow is a new day.

  1. The hunger thing may be that your body isn't used to the change yet. (Though I know nothing about breastfeeding so it may be that.) Do you feel the hunger in your gut or your head? (Where you feel the hunger is supposed to tell you if you are really hungry or just convincing yourself your hungry) I read that somewhere. Well good lucK and remember it's a project not a overnight cure. :-)
