Easing into meds & more

My health & weight loss journal

I finally got in touch with my doctor regarding how sleepy I get on the medication he prescribed. The first thing he asked was which of the three was making me sleepy. Of course I didn't know because I had been taking all three at once. So, he says, "I want you to stop taking all of them."

"Already did," I say.

"Good good," he says. (You have to read that with an Indian accent. (I hope Indian is appropriate to say... I love this doctor and his accent. He makes me smile!)

An-t-way...

He says, "Start with one and then add them until you figure out which one is making you sleepy. Then call me back and I will help you."

"Oh, great!"

Now that makes so much sense! I kind of feel silly for not thinking of that myself. So, we'll see how that goes... maybe I'll get a normal amount of sleep over the weekend while taking the first pill so any drowsiness will be counteracted.

The teenager hipped me to a great site

Have you ever heard of SparkPeople.com? Well, the teenager signed up for Sparkteen.com and I checked her site out and thought it was very interesting. So, yesterday I went to SparkPeople.com and I'm really impressed.

You can get meal plans, exercise plans, it tracks your weight loss, tells you your BMI... you can join communities and all kinds of stuff. I think it is really cool. One of the best sites I've seen in awhile for stuff like this. There's a lot of good information... check it out and let me know what you think.

Dancing the night away, eating the day away

Last night the teenager and I did our dance routines... I haven't done anything today, but run around and get errands done. I think I'm doing good but then I enter my food intake for today and see that I went over my calorie limit. I didn't even eat that much because I didn't have time to sit down and eat. And because I didn't eat right I'm hungry now... oh well, there's always tomorrow.
