Personal info & the net

I've noticed how some bloggers use pseudonyms for their family members and I’ve often wondered if it was to protect their identities or for creative purposes. Are you worried about someone stealing your identity or tracking your family down for “unfriendly” purposes? Or is it simply creative liberties?

Since I’m an avid TV watcher, I often think that it may not be a good idea to give too much information… especially about my children. But then on the other hand, I think who would take the time to track me down and do something unthinkable? Well, enough of that thought because it’s already creeping me out.

What’s your opinion?

Do you protect your identity on your blog?
Yes, people are crazy! Can't be too careful.
A little. Some caution can't hurt.
No... stop being paranoid!
What are you talking about?

  2. I guess some of think that nothing will ever happen to them or their family but my G*d with the world these days you just never know. We should all be a little more cautious(?) when on the internet.
